The 25,000th Mercedes-Benz Actros has rolled off the conveyor in Russia

RusAutoNewsCom.- As announced by DK Rus press office, the truck factory has reached a milestone this autumn, manufacturing the 25,000th Mercedes-Benz Actros assembled in Naberezhnye Chelny.

The new generation of trucks was presented in the country for the first time in 2018. Unique designs of the engineers from the trucks division of Mercedes-Benz have been introduced to the Russian market this year: semi-autonomous driving and driver assistance systems, an innovative workplace in the truck cab and a MirrorCam camera system replacing side mirrors, which is a groundbreaking innovation in the world. The chassis of the trucks are manufactured at a factory in the German city of Wörth and the car kits are sent to the production plant of Mercedes-Benz in Russia, in Naberezhnye Chelny. The production of cabins for the trucks has been localised this year at the cab frame production plant of the company, which was opened with a ceremony in 2019. More than 1000 Russian production cabins have rolled off the conveyor of one of the most modern factories not only in Russia, but in Europe up to today, which are shipped to the assembly plant of Mercedes-Benz thereafter. Over years of production, DK Rus has assembled and sold more than 35,000 Mercedes-Benz and Fuso trucks in the Russian market in total.

The high quality of Mercedes-Benz trucks that roll off the production conveyor of the plant is ensured not only by modern innovative technologies, a multi-zone quality control system and the strictest audit system, but also by a demanding approach to the selection and training of personnel. “Russian production – German quality” is the motto of the Mercedes-Benz truck assembly plant in Naberezhnye Chelny.

A new generation, white Mercedes-Benz Actros 1845 LS has become the jubilee truck. The vehicle will soon join the fleet of a major client of Mercedes-Benz Trucks in Russia.
