KAMA-1 electric car has been presented in Moscow


 

RusAutoNewsCom.- The presentation of Kama-1 electric car developed by Kamaz in cooperation with Peter the Great St Petersburg Polytechnic University has taken place in Moscow, as announced by Kamaz press ofice.

The electric car with the intelligent driver assistance system ADAS Level 3 has been tentatively named as Kama-1. The three-door, four-seater compact smart crossover has been developed in accordance with the modern trends in the mobility and transport market. The dimensions of the crossover are as follows: 3.4 m width, 1.7 m height and 160 mm ground clearance. The electric vehicle is equipped with a 33 kW/h lithium-ion battery and an 80 kW electric engine, which enable a maximum velocity of 150 km/h and a journey range of 250 km in one charge. The battery is charged in 6 hours in normal mode and in 20 minutes in fast mode. The crossover reaches 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds from the start.

Kama-1 electric car is developed on the basis of “digital twin” technology. This technology applies virtual testing and conducts the tuning of the car, simulating and measuring all of its indicators in various conditions of the life cycle, taking into account the characteristics of materials and the features of technological processes in detail. Kama-1 is currently in the status of industrial pre-production sample, which passed the testing process and received all necessary certifications.
