Russian new bus market has declined by 5% in 2020


 

Autostat.- Russian new bus market (excluding LCVs) has amounted to 13.2 thousand vehicles in 2020, following a 5% year-on-year fall.

Russian manufacturer PAZ has become the leader of the market, with 48% share of the total volume. 6,348 PAZ buses have been sold, indicating a -21% year-on-year fall.

All the top-3 most popular buses in the Russian bus market is formed of domestic brands. Liaz occupies the second spot with 2,514 units (+56%) and Nefaz comes third with 1,551 units (+47%). The top-5 is completed by Belarusian MAZ with 466 units (-26.8%) and Russian Kavz with 423 units (-0.2%).

The small-class, high-floor PAZ-3205 has become the best-sold model in the Russian new bus market, with a sales figure of 3,168 units. Second place is occupied by small-class PAZ-3204 with 1,967 units. The third in the ranking is the low-floor city bus Liaz-5292.The midium-class, high-floor Nefaz-5299 occupies the fourth place in the ranking with 1053 units. High-floor medium-class PAZ-4234 completes the top-five with with 963 units. Other bus models sold less than 400 units.
