RBK.- The number of carsharing users has exceeded 1 million people in Moscow. The relevant statement has been made by the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin.

“Carsharing was launched in Moscow five years ago. Now it’s impossible to imagine how we lived our lives without it. Only 350 vehicles were available in 2015, compared to nearly 30,000 drivers registered today.

According to the mayor, the government will continue to support the private companies in Moscow in the future, allocating subsidies for the renewal of fleets.

The number of accidents with the participation of carsharing automobiles has gone down by 18% in Moscow in 2020. The automobiles leased per minute were involved in 360 incidents over the 12 months period in the capital.

Delimobil has introduced a point rating and launched a special testing process for drivers in autumn. The service has brought results after a few months, obliging the carsharing users to drive more carefully, thereby getting involved in less accidents.
