Sollers Ford will increase production and hire additional personnel

RusAutoNewsCom.- As reported by the company press office, Sollers Ford will ramp up the production capacity at its Yelabuga plant, in response to the continuously rising demand on Ford Transit vehicles and hire 150 new employees.

“The launch of additional production in the factory for Ford Transit vehicles has come as a result of our effective market strategy, as reflected by the sales figures. The production increase will enable us to ensure business stability and overcome the deficit in car stocks, as well as strengthening our position in the commercial vehicles segment” – said Adil Shirinov, the chairman and CEO of the company. “In addition, the creation of a professional and friendly team is one of the strategic tasks ahead of us. I’m glad for the fact that we had the opportunity to add new colleagues to our close-knit team at Sollers Ford and offer career prospects to our new members”.

Ford Transit sales have been displaying a steep upwards trend: 12% increase in 2020 and a record year-on-year rise of 157% in January 2021. As a result of the steady rise in demand and the ongoing deficit in car stocks in dealer centres, it was decided to increase the production volume. In order to ensure an uninterrupted operation scheme at the factory, 150 new jobs have been created for 130 production specialists and 20 engineers, which will increase the working capital of the plant in Yelabuga by more than 10%.

Currently, Sollers Ford’s Yelabuga plant is recruiting staff for the following posts: technician for mechanical assembly works, welder on contact (press) welding machines, painter (on the external line), adjuster of technological equipment, picker, loader driver, battery operator and electrician.
