Mazda Sollers plant has manufactured 28,000 Mazda automobiles in 2021

Autostat.- Mazda Sollers plant produced approximately 28,000 automobiles in 2021, which is equivalent to a 3% year-on-year growth (27,053 units). The relevant statement has been made to the Autostat agency by the company press office, emphasising the fact that the production volume has been hindered, mainly due to the global shortage of semiconductors. 30,000 Mazda vehicles are planned to be manufactured at the factory in Vladivostok (+7% up in comparison to 2021), as long as the semiconductor situation improves.

Mazda CX-5 crossover has become the most-manufactured model on the conveyor. In addition, the production of the CX-30 compact crossover, which was launched at the Mazda Sollers plant at the end of 2020, has been suspended for an undefined period.

The CX-5 crossover has become the best-sold Mazda model in the Russian market, the sales figure of which reached 19,800 units last year (-1%). Mazda6 business sedan has occupied the second spot with 4600 vehicles (-0.7%). Russian dealers have started the sales of the CX-30 compact crossovers in January 2021, closing 2600 transactions until the end of the year. The sales of the premium 7-seater CX-9 have reached 2100 units in 2021, on the other hand, following a 59% year-on-year increase.
