Renault Russia will temporarily suspend car production

Autostat.- The Moscow plant of Renault will suspend production between 28 February – 5 March, due to disruptions in component supplies. The relevant statement has been made to the Autostat agency by the press office of Renault Russia.

“The interruptions are mainly due to the strengthening of the border regimes in the transit countries, which leads to compulsory changes to a number of established logistics routes. Renault is the leader of localisation amongst foreign manufacturers, having more than 2000 points. However, several components are procured from other countries. We are working on ways to resume production as soon as possible” – as stated by the press office.

As one may remember, Duster, Kaptur and the coupe-crossover Arkana are currently being manufactured at the Moscow plant, alongside the Nissan Terrano crossovers.
