Volvo Cars and Scania suspend the business in Russia

RusAutoNews.-As reported by TASS, Volvo Cars has decided to suspend sales of new cars in Russia. “Given the potential risk of trade with Russia, as well as sanctions imposed by the US and the EU, Volvo will not supply passenger cars to the Russian market until further notice,” said Ben Foulds, a spokesman for the company.

The truck manufacturer Scania has stopped deliveries of both vehicles and spare parts to Russia. “Customer relationships are important to Scania, but Scania’s values were more important here,” said Eric Bratthall from the company’s press service. “We made a decision based on that situation. Every word spoken now risks becoming additional fuel in the conflict and fanning the crisis.
