The government has offered three scenarios to the car manufacturers in Russia

RusAutoNews.- As reported by Motor ru website, the government of the Russian Federation is preparing to take measures to support employment and industrial and business activities in the country. The details of the programme have not been revealed.

Amongst other things, the three interaction scenarios with foreign companies are aimed at car manufacturers that have not announced their withdrawal from Russia, but have temporarily suspended the supply of automobiles and spare parts.

The first option proposes the continuation of operations as usual, including the preservation of supply volumes and the full capacity of the enterprises.

The second option concerns the sale of the shares of joint ventures to the Russian sides, however the Deputy Prime Minister has not mentioned the mandatory continuation of the supply of spare parts and components.

The third scenario is a complete withdrawal from the Russian market, the closure of the enterprise and the dismissal of employees. As stated by Belousov, the government will intervene and initiate an accelerated bankruptcy procedure in such cases.

Mitsubishi, Subaru, Hyundai, Kia, Geely, Chery and Haval are the companies, which have already confirmed the continuation of operations in the Russian market as before. German, British and American car manufacturers, on the other hand, have suspended the shipment of vehicles and spare parts to Russia until further notice.
