Toyota and Nissan resume car production in Russia until the end of March

RusAutoNews.- Japanese automakers Toyota and Nissan plan to resume car production in Russia at the end of this month. This was told by the head of the city committee for industrial policy, innovation and trade, Kirill Soloveychik, as reported by AvtoNovostiDnya.

As reported earlier, Toyota suspended production at its St Petersburg plant on 4 March due to supply chain disruptions. The shipments of Toyota and Lexus automobiles to Russia are also suspended, due to the interruptions in the regional supply chain.

The Nissan plant in St. Petersburg went into a three-week downtime on March 14. The company has also suspended vehicle exports to Russia.
