RusAutoNews.- As announced by Stellantis, the company has suspended the car production in its plant in Kaluga, operated by PSMA Rus.

Given the rapid daily increase in cross sanctions and logistical difficulties, Stellantis has suspended its manufacturing operations in Kaluga to ensure full compliance with all cross sanctions and to protect its employees. Stellantis condemns violence and supports all actions capable of restoring peace,” stated the company.

PSMA Rus is a joint venture of PSA Peugeot Citroen (70%) and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (30%). According to the investment portal of Kaluga region, the factory has been operating within the territory of Rosva Industrial Park since April 2010. 16 billion rubles have been invested in the project. The capacity of the plant is 125,000 vehicles per year.

PSMA Rus produces C-class passenger sedans Peugeot 408 and Citroen C4 Sedan, Mitsubishi Outlander and Pajero Sport crossovers, as well as cargo vans, mini buses and compact vans under the Peugeot, Citroen and Opel brands.
