Rambler.- Volkswagen Group does not plan to resume car production in Russia in near future. This is reported by the head of the VW Passenger Cars brand, Mikhail Arndt, in a letter to the Russian dealers, as reported by the Telegram channel “Russian Auto”.

This means that the VW plants in Russia will not be producing cars for a long time. As previously reported, the employees of the plant in Nizhny Novgorod were asked to voluntarily resign with the payment of several salaries. The plant in Kaluga is also at a standstill. Now, during downtime, workers receive 2/3 of their wages. Volkswagen plants in Russia have been shut down since March 3, 2022.
