Yokohama has resumed tyre production in Russia


 

Rossiyskaya Gazeta.- After a shutdown due to logistics problems announced at the end of March, the Japanese company Yokohama’s plant in the Lipetsk region resumed operations. According to the press service of the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone, the supply of rubber was restored and production was fully restored.

The Yokohama plant employs 760 people. All receive a full salary, as reported.

In early August, the governor of the Kaluga region announced that the Continental plant that produces tyres had also resumed work. It was possible to rebuild supply chains and find new suppliers.

Previously, Michelin had decided to transfer Russian assets to local management, Nokian Tyres announced a “controlled exit”.
