The list of priority car components for localization has been published


 

TASS.- The development of an internal combustion engine and its components, as well as an automatic transmission, ABS and ESP systems, airbags and seat belts were included in the list of priorities for localization in the Russian automotive Federation – this follows from the draft strategy for development of the automotive industry of the Russian Federation by 2035. Overall, it is planned that by 2035 the volume of investments in the production of car components will be 190 billion rubles, which is approximately $3.2 billion as of today.

According to the project, this figure will be 24 billion rubles in 2022, 125 billion rubles in 2025 and 162 billion rubles in 2030. Investments in research and development of components will be 10 billion rubles in 2022, 42 billion rubles in 2025 and 68 billion rubles in 2030. In 2035, it should be 82 billion rubles.

The priority list for localization also included fuel equipment, an electric motor and associated electronics, key suspension elements, body and chips. As can be seen from the list of priority components, it is also planned to locate materials for car manufacturing; from special alloys and steel to polymeric materials for a fuel tank, fabrics and materials for seats and steering wheel pads, paint and varnish materials.
