NISSAN plant in St Petersburg extends downtime until the end of 2022

Izvestia.- As reported by the press service of Nissan Manufacturing Rus to the newspaper Izvestia, the downtime at the Nissan plant in St Petersburg has been extended until the end of 2022.

The downtime extension has been confirmed by the end of December. The employees have been informed,” said the company’s representative in Russia.

Earlier in the day, the Nikkei Shimbun reported on the extended shutdown. The reason for the extended downtime was the difficulties in supplying spare parts from Europe and Japan.

The Nissan plant in Russia has been idle since March. The company previously produced crossovers Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano.
