Vehicle production in Russia has declined by 59% within first 7 months


 

RusAutoNews.- Vehicle production in Russia has decreased by 59.0% year-on-year within the January-July period of 2022. According to ASM-Holding data 387.8 thousand transport vehicles (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, buses) have been manufactured in the country during first seven months of 2022.

Passenger cars production has decreased by 64.1% during the aforementioned period, amounting to 298.6 thousand units. The output of foreign brand cars in Russia has declined by 64.1% to 206.8 thousand vehicles.

LCV output has decreased in the same period by 30.3% to 47.9 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has declined by 20.2% in January-July period of 2022, amounting to 76.7 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia dropped by 62.0% year-on-year and amounted to 8.7 thousand units.

Bus production, including minibuses, has decreased by 29.6% during the aforementioned period, with 12.9 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia has declined by 52.7% and amounted to 1.6 thousand vehicles.
