Vehicle production in Russia has declined by 29% within the Q1 of 2022


 

RusAutoNews.- Vehicle production in Russia has decreased by 29.3% year-on-year within the first quarter of 2022. According to ASM-Holding data 287 thousand transport vehicles (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, buses) have been manufactured in the country in January-March period of 2022.

Passenger cars production has decreased by 33.3% during the aforementioned period, amounting to 242.4 thousand units. The output of foreign brand cars in Russia has declined by 27.2% to 180 thousand vehicles.

LCV output has decreased in the same period by 0.8% to 25.1 thousand units.

Truck production, including light trucks, has grown by 5.8% in January-March period of 2022, amounting to 39.0 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia declined by 5.2% year-on-year and amounted to 7.7 thousand units.

Bus production, including minibuses, has increased by 2.0% during the aforementioned period, with 5.8 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia has grown by 8.5% to 1.3 thousand vehicles.
