RusAutoNews.Com – Car production in Russia increased within the first eight months of 2017. According to ASM Holding data, 960.522 transport vehicles (trucks, cars, buses) have been manufactured in Russia within the January-August 2017 period, which is equivalent to a 19,5% year-on-year rise.
Passenger car production in Russia has increased by 19,4% during the aforementioned period y/y, with 845,5 thousand units. The production of foreign brand cars in Russia went up 22,9% to 635 thousand vehicles.
LCV production has also grown in the same period, by 4,1% to 70,5 thousand units.
Truck production, including light trucks, has risen by 14,4% by the end of the first eight months of 2017, amounting to 90,7 thousand units. The output of foreign brand trucks in Russia went up 85,8% to 14,5 thousand units.
Bus production, including microbuses, has increased by 4,2% during the aforementioned period, with 24,6 thousand units. The output of foreign brand buses in Russia went up 3,3% to 6,3 thousand units.
