Autostat. – GAZ Group and Azermash have signed an agreement, proposing the organisation of the assembly production of cars and buses in Azerbaijan. A plant is planned to be built in Azerbaijan for the assembly of GAZ commercial vehicles and LiAZ and Vector Next buses, within the framework of the agreement.
As stated by the press office of GAZ Group, Azermash will build a plant in the city of Hadjigabul for the assembly of LCVs and buses, according to the agreement. The production will commence at the end of 2019 according to plans. There are plans to start the production with GAZ vehicles in the first stage, including the ranges of GAZelle Next and GAZon Next, along with GAZelle Business and Sobol Business and their all-wheel drive versions. The production of Vector Next and LiAZ buses will start in the second phase.
