RNS. - Avtovaz is exploring the possibility to use Renault platforms for individual Lada models. The factory currently assembles Lada XRay and Largus automobiles on Renault B0 platform.
An Avtovaz representative has said that the company has plans to manufacture 8 new Lada models until 2026. He added that the possibility of using Renault platforms for several Lada models is being studied. In the meantime, Lada 4×4 production will continue on the current platform at least until 2022.
Avtovaz Group belongs to Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance and manufactures Lada, Renault, Nissan and Datsun automobiles. The facilities of the group are located in Togliatti and Izhevsk.
Lada dealers sell Lada Vesta, XRay, Largus, Granta and 4×4 models.
