RusAutoNewsCom.- Renault Russia will launch mass production of automobiles in Kazakhstan at the “SaryarkaAvtoProm” plant in Kostanay, as annouced by the company press office.
Renault Arkana and Kaptur will be the first models to roll off the conveyor and the model range is planned to be expanded in the future.
The serial production of the Renault model range will be carried out within the framework of the industrial partnership between the Renault Group and the Allur Group at “SaryarkaAvtoProm” plant in Kostanay.
SaryarkaAvtoProm is the largest car manufacturer in Kazakhstan, which has been the flagship enterprise of the country in the automotive industry for many years. The production line has been established in full compliance with the requirements of Renault Group on equipment, technological processes and quality control. The entire workforce involved in the project has been trained in accordance with the standards and methods of Renault, in order for the alignment of all production processes.
The first automobiles to be manufactured in Kostanay will be Renault Arkana and Renault Kaptur crossovers, which will be perfectly adapted for usage in various road and climate conditions in the CIS countries. The local production process will increase the availability of the models to Kazakh clients. There are plans to increase the production volumes gradually in the future, in order to meet the growing customer demand. The partners are also planning to expand production with the addition of other Renault models this year.
Orion Distribution will organise the sales of Renault models through the dealer centres of the brand in Kazakhstan.
