GAZ Group plans to increase exports by 10% in 2017

RNS – GAZ Group plans to increase exports by 10% year-on-year in 2017, as told by the general director of Russian Machines (which includes GAZ) Manfred Aibek, on the sidelines of SPIEF-2017. 

“10% year-on-year export growth is our aim” – Aibek said. According to Aibek, the first five months of the year have been successful for a number of sectors.  “The situation was good especially in the car sector and we have major projects for the trucks segment, which need to be completed. This also applies to buses” – he added. Aibek has stated that the exports are planned to be increased through African, Middle Eastern, Asian and Latin American countries. “We have close cooperations with Morocco, Vietnam, Iran and Latin American countries, particularly with Bolivia, where our sales volume is on the rise” – he said. “These are the countries, where we are highly likely to improve our presence, not only shipping products, but also developing our business on a long-term basis.”

Establishment of assembly production in the aforementioned countries is on the cards. According to Aibek, Morocco is amongst the previously announced countries such as: Vietnam, Iran, Cuba and Egypt, where the localisation of production is aimed for.
