RuaAutoNews.Com – Ulyanovsk Car Factory UAZ and Rosseti have signed a road map on the implementation of the main areas of cooperation as to the usage of UAZ equipment for the maintenance of electric grid facilities, as stated by the press office of UAZ .
The parties will develop new models of vehicles based on UAZ automobiles for the needs of the grid complex distribution, alongside the utilisation of the Rosseti car fleet and the development of a service infrastructure for UAZ vehicles, operated by Rosseti. The companies will also continue their cooperation in the promising areas of automotive technology.
The ability of UAZ to manufacture automobiles on the basis of a universal platform allows the company to offer a range of special purpose vehicles and various superstructures, as told by the general director of UAZ Vadim Shvetsov.
UAZ and Rosseti had signed a strategic partnership agreement in 2016.
Rosseti is an operator of energy networks in Russia and one of the largest power companies in the world. The company manages 2,3 million kilometers of power lines and 496 thousand substations with the total transformer capacity of more than 773 thousand MVA.
