Russian truck market has increased by 36% in January 2018

Autostat –  Russian truck market has kept growing in January 2018. According to Autostat data, 4832 new trucks have been sold in Russia in January 2018, following an increase of 35,9% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

KAMAZ has kept the leadership of the Russian truck market, with 30% share in total in January. The sales figure of the brand is equivalent to 1453 units, which indicates a fall of 5,6% year-on-year. The leader is followed by GAZ, with 587 vehicles (+47,9% y/y). The top-three is completed by Volvo with 406 units (+141,7% y/y).  Scania (395 units, +97,5%) and MAZ (359, +50%) are the remaining brands of the top-five.

KAMAZ 43118 was the best-selling truck model in January 2018 with 426 units (+17% y/y) followed by GAZON Next (380 units, +70,4% y/y) and Volvo FH (302 units, +145,5% y/y).
