Avtotor has increased KIA production by 39% within the first quarter

RusAutoNews.Com – Avtotor has increased KIA production by 39% within the first quarter. The plant located in Kaliningrad has manufactured more than 26,000 KIA vehicles in 2018. The production growth has been caused by the increasing demand for the popular brand, which is the leader of new car sales amongst foreign brands in Russia, as stated by the press office of Avtotor.

Avtotor currently manufactures almost the entire range of KIA automobiles, represented in the Russian market: Picanto, Cerato, Optima, Sorento, Sorento Prime, Quoris, Mohave, Soul, cee’d, Sportage and Stinger. The company has been part of a joint investment project in full-cycle KIA production since 2013 (with body welding and painting).

As reported by Autostat previously, the production of the new generation KIA Quoris will be launched in the plant in Kaliningrad. The preparations for the production are planned for the third quarter of 2018. The previous generation of the model is being manufactured in the plant since 2013. More than 2000 Quoris have rolled off the conveyors in the plant in total up to today.
