RusAutoNews.Com – The president of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has arrived at his inauguration ceremony in Kremlin on 7 May in his new Russian made Limousine, created for himself within the framework of the Cortege project.
The Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Engines Institute (NAMI) is responsible for the implementation of the project “Cortege”. The current annual assembly capacity of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise (FGUP) NAMI is 300 automobiles. Commercial serial production of more than 5000 units is planned at the facilities of the new joint venture between NAMI and the Russian company Sollers per year.
The sales of the vehicles will be carried out by the NAMI-AVTO joint venture, established on 9 January 2018. 75% of the company shares belongs to FGUP NAMI and 25% to Sollers. The joint venture will not only be responsible for the sales and the after-sales service of the Cortege project vehicles in Russian and export markets, but also for their production. According to an unofficial statement, the automobiles will be manufactured under the brand name of Aurus.
As told by Minister Manturov previously, the retail prices of the Russian made Limousine will be between 6-7 million rubles. In the meantime, there will be no sales limitations, all versions will be available to the public, including luxury and armoured classes, the minister said.
