RusAutoNewsCom. – The Kamaz Weichai joint venture, which will be specialised in the production of industrial diesel and gas engines over the volume of 17 liter and capacities between 520-2000 kW, is planned to be established at the vacant premises of the Tutaevsky Engine Plant, a subsidiary company of Kamaz in Yaroslavl region. The joint venture will be created on equal terms, as reported by the Kamaz press office.
Kamaz Weichai joint venture’s first engines are planned to be manufactured before the end of 2018. The production will comply with the Stage IIIa ecological standards. It’s assumed that the CIS countries and the Customs Union of the Eurasian Economic Union: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan will be the main markets for the engines.
The establishment of the Kamaz Weichai joint venture will create approximately 160 new jobs, once the planned capacity is fulfilled. Alongside high-technology production, the enterprise is ready to offer a full range of services according the market demand, such as the service of engines and all kinds of repairs, extensive consulting support and training of technical staff and prompt delivery of original parts.
