AVTOVAZ plans to increase engine production to 590,000 units in 2019

 

Finmarket. – Avtovaz plans to manufacture 546,000 engines in 2018, as stated by the director of engine production Alexander Sverchkov. The company intends to manufacture 590,000 engines next year.

Avtovaz also plans to expand production for exports, as told by Sverchkov. “4800 engines have been manufactured for the Renault plant in Turkey. The figure is planned to be increased to 50,000 units for next year” – said Sverchkov. Renault Fluence and Renault Clio models have been produced in the Renault plant located in Bursa.

Lada Largus will be equipped with home production engines from this year onwards, replacing the Spanish imports, Sverchkov added.

According to the company press office, Avtovaz has manufactured 470,000 engines in 2017. Thereby, the engine production growth will reach 16% this year and 8% in 2019.

As stated by the press office of Avtovaz to Interfax, all Lada models are equipped with engines manufactured in Russia currently.
