Autostat. - The Eurasian Development Bank has acquired a share in the capital of Kamaz, providing a finance of 9.5 billion rubles, for the implementation of the investment programme, as stated by the bank.

According to a source familiar with the results of the transaction, the Eurasian Development Bank will finance Kamaz by entering into the capital of the company, buying the shares of the financial leasing company, which is a subsidiary of Kamaz, as well as acquiring the company’s bond issues. Earlier today, the car manufacturer has announced the transfer of the ownership of the subsidiary financial leasing company, which held 3.72% shares of the enterprise.

The Eurasian Development Bank has used the tools of equity and bond financing in the implementation of the investment, allowing Kamaz to form an optimal fundraising structure, as explained by the credit institution.

“The investments will be directed to the most important project of Kamaz: the development of the model range of the company and the modernisation of the production facilities, within the framework of which Kamaz makes compact and high-tech production of the new generation K5 trucks” - as stated by the company.
