RusAutoNewsCom.- Hyundai St Petersburg plant has manufactured 61,900 automobiles during the first quarter of 2019, which is equivalent to a 4% year-on-year growth. The enterprise operates in three shifts, five days a week. The company plans to operate in full capacity and manufacture over 240,000 vehicles in 2019, as reported by Hyundai Motor CIS press office.
The automobiles manufactured by the company (Solaris sedan, Creta crossover, KIA Rio sedan and Rio X-Line hatchback) regularly make it into the top-five best-sold models ranking in the Russian market. In addition, the Russian plant of Hyundai has exported more than 3800 automobiles within the first quarter of 2019, which indicates a 60% year-on-year rise. Belarus, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are the priority export markets for the company.
