KAMAZ has made a revenue of 186 billion rubles in 2018


 

RusAutoNewsCom.- The revenue of Kamaz has reached approximately 186.2 billion rubles in 2018, following a 19% year-on-year growth, as announced by the company press office. The net profit has amounted to 1.6 billion rubles, on the other hand.

A total number of 38,382 trucks have been manufactured and sold in 2018, including 8858 vehicles from the new model range, which indicates a 62% increase in comparison with 2017. 5698 trucks have been exported in the meantime, which is equivalent to a 13% year-on-year rise. The company had 41% share of the Russian heavy trucks market during the aforementioned period.

Kamaz vehicles, component assembly kits and spare parts have been exported to more than 50 countries in CIS, Southeast Asia, Middle-East, Africa, Europe and Latin America. The main export destinations of 2018 were Central Asia and Kazakhstan.

A total investment of more than 15 billion rubles have been made in 2018. The company has continued with the implementation of the “Development of Vehicle Range and the Modernisation of Production Facilities” project. Preparations for the launch of the new generation of K5 trucks to the market has been carried out within the framework of the project, which will become one of the significant outcomes of the implementation of the investment programme. In order to reach these targets, the company will make essential changes to its approach on the production process, as well as all of the main production sites.

The company will put the first K5 generation model on the market in 2019: the flagship Kamaz-54901 long-haul tractor. The development of the sales of gas-engine vehicles, the serial production of K4 generation trucks running on CNG, the test operation of robotic vehicles with autonomous and remote control and the development of the second-generation electric buses are amongst the tasks of the year.

In addition, the preparations for the production of parts for the new family of K5 generation heavy trucks will begin. Kamaz-6595 dump truck will be the first model, which is planned to be put on the market by the end of 2020.
