RusAutoNewsCom.- As reported by Autostat, 159,405 units premium class cars have been sold in Russia in 2019, indicating a 5.1% year-on-year rise. 9.5% of the Russian automobile market belongs to the premium segment.
Mercedes-Benz has become the most popular brand of the segment with 42,046 units sold, increasing sales by 11.3% comparison with the previous year.
The second spot is occupied by BMW. The company has managed to sell 41,520 units, which indicates a 16.6% year-on-year rise.
Lexus completes the top-three, with a sales figure of 22,395 units, showing a decline by 7.9% year-on-year.
Audi with 16,333 units (+1%) and Volvo with 8,846 units (+13.8%) came fourth and fifth respectively.
