Russian electric car market has increased by 2.5 times in 2019



Autostat.- The electric car market in Russia has amounted to 353 units in 2019, indicating a 145% year-on-year increase, up from 144 units in 2018.

Jaguar I-Pace and Nissan Leaf are sharing the first place in the ranking with 131 units sold each. The leaders are followed by Tesla, which is represented by three models: Tesla X with 46 units, Tesla 3 with 22 units and Tesla S with 13 units sold.

In addition, 5 new Renault Twizy, 3 Peugeot Ion and 2 Hyundai Ionic were purchased in Russia in 2019.

140 new electric cars have been sold in Moscow and the surrounding region in 2019. The capital is followed by St Petersburg - 18 units, Krasnodar - 16 units, Irkutsk - 13 units and Perm, Sverdlovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk - 10 units each.
