RusAutoNewsCom.- As reported by the company press office, the General Director of Kamaz Sergei Kogogin and the Governor of Ulyanovsk Region Sergei Morozov have visited the production site of the Dimitrovgrad Automotive Components Factory (DAAZ), which is an affiliate company of Kamaz.
Kogogin has stated the intention of the company to create a non-ferrous casting competence centre at DAAZ. Nomenclature will be transferred to the new centre from Kamaz, as well as equipment. Kamaz plans to install a block of small and medium stamping at the site of the subsidiary plant. In addition, there are plans to use the capacity of the tool factory for the production of fasteners and rotation parts. According to preliminary calculations, the capacity of equipment in DAAZ will be doubled, as a result of the closure and transfer of production in Naberezhnye Chelny.
As told by Morozov, 1000 new jobs will be created in Dimitrovgrad, thanks to the new industrial sites. “In addition to our existing residents already operating in the area, tens of new investors have expressed their desire to establish production facilities in the region. Staff support is an important issue. We are planning to retrain DAAZ employees as required specialists demanded by the employers in the industrial park for example, funded by the allocated budget. Adjustments to investment agreements, facilitating the employment priorities of such retrained workers at enterprises are also within plans. In addition, solutions have been found for the improvement of the infrastructure. The roads near DAAZ and on the territory of the enterprise will be repaired and the network will be tidied up within the scope of the project” – said Morozov.
