NISSAN plans to introduce a new electric car in the Russian market


 

RNS.- Nissan plans to launch a new electric car in the Russian market in the coming years, as stated by the press office of the company.

“In accordance with a new plan and the global strategy of the brand, Nissan considers introducing a new electric vehicle into the Russian market” – according to the statement.

The company has released the mass production Nissan Leaf electric car in 2010. Electric car sales currently have a sporadic character in the Russian market.

Nissan will also manufacture the upgraded versions of Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano.

“We are aware of the popularity of SUVs, such as: Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano amongst Russian customers. These locally manufactured models are adopted to the operating conditions in Russia. We will present the upgraded versions of the aforementioned models in the forthcoming years” – said Frank Torres, the Vice-President of Nissan.
