Russian electric car market decreased by 18% within the first half of 2020



Autostat.- The electric car market in Russia has amounted to 121 units within the first half of 2020, indicating 18% year-on-year decrease, down from 147 units in 2019.

Nissan Leaf occupies the first place in the ranking with 49 units sold each. The leader is followed by Tesla with 36 units, which is represented by three models: Tesla X with 19 units, Tesla 3 with 16 units and Tesla S with 1 unit sold. Jaguar I-Pace became third in the ranking with 28 units.

In addition, 3 new Peugeot Ion, 2 new Renault Twizy, 2 new JAC iEV7S and 1 Hyundai Ionic were purchased in Russia within the aformentioned period.

42 electric cars have been sold in Moscow and the surrounding region. The capital is followed by Primorskiy Kray – 14 units, Krasnodar Kray – 6 units, Sverdlovsk and Novosibirsk – 5 units each.
