Sollers Ford has localised radiator production for Ford Transit

RusAutoNewsCom.- As reported by the company press office, Sollers Ford is taking a new step in the localisation for Ford Transit production: now the radiators for the vehicle will also be manufactured in Russia. TRM company, established in Nizhny Novgorod, will be the supplier of radiators.

The signature of a contract on the supply of radiators from TRM Nizhny Novgorod has become a new milestone in cooperation. Having a Q1 supplier status for Ford, TRM has a long history of successful experience in the development and production of high quality aluminium heat exchangers for conveyor deliveries to various classes of vehicles. Q1 is the highest level of standard set by Ford Motor Company in the international quality control system. In order to receive the status, companies have to comply with the strict requirements of the manufacturer, in terms of logistics, organisation of quality management system and production process.

“The localisation of the production of Transit vehicles is one of the priorities for Sollers Ford. Localisation will reduce our dependence on external factors and ensure the stability of production” - said Adil Shirinov, the chairman of the company: “We are constantly seeking reliable partners in Russia and glad to see the growth in their numbers day by day”.

TRM was assigned with the ambitious task of radiator development, on condition of compliance with all global quality standards of Ford. The end products have successfully passed all the tests on the fulfilment of the requirements and reliability. The tests were carried out in Japan and the results have met the strict international standards and the quality requirements set by Ford Motor Company.

As previously announced, the shareholders of the joint venture have renamed the company to Sollers Ford as of 1 October 2020.
