The deadline for the completion of transactions with GAZ Group has been extended by the US Treasury

RNS.- The US Treasury has extended the deadline for the completion of transactions with GAZ Group once more, till the 26th of January 2022. The relevant statement has been made by OFAC.
The deadline for the withdrawal of American investors from GAZ securities has also been extended to the aforementioned date, 26.01.2022.
OFAC had brought sanctions against 24 Russian individuals and 14 legal entities on April 6, 2018. Businessman Oleg Deripaska and companies belonging to him, such as: En+ Group, GAZ Group, Base Element and UC Rusal were included in the list in particular.
Later on, the US Treasury notified the US Congress on its intention to lift the restrictive measures against the companies of Oleg Deripaska: En+ Group, UC Rusal and Eurosibenergo, in December 2018. The sanctions on the companies were lifted on the night of 27-28 April 2019. The sanctions on Oleg Deripaska remained in force, on the other hand.
The deadline for American investors to withdraw from GAZ securities and the completion of transactions with the company was extended to the same day, 22 January 2021, by the US Treasury on July 16, 2020.
