RusAutoNewsCom.- The largest machine building enterprise in Chelyabinsk region: Ural Automobile Plant has revealed the results of its operations in 2020. The plant has operated in full capacity, despite the adverse conditions due to the coronavirus pandemic last year.
The enterprise has ended the year with over-fulfillment of the business plan, assembling and selling approximately 8300 vehicles. More than 1 billion rubles have been invested in equipment and construction in 2020, the largest amount over a decade. The investment in the aforementioned purposes will exceed 2 billion rubles next year. Main investments will be made in technology development, which will not only increase productivity, but also improve the working conditions. The company is also looking forward to the forthcoming anniversary year with confidence, planning to manufacture at least 8,300 vehicles, increase economic indicators, such as profit and benefit from tax deductions accordingly. A wholescale development, expansion of production range and reaching an annual car production level of 14,000 units within the next five years are amongst the future plans of Ural Automobile Plant.
The reconstruction of production sites has continued in 2020. A large-scale priming of the top coating was carried out over the entire area of the conveyor belt and the painting of the ceiling metal mesh. Recently, the second painting and drying booth has been put into operation at the production facilities of the automobile plant, designed for painting the plastic parts of the bonnet cabs of Ural Next family vehicles.
The assembly of the new all-wheel-drive, 4-axle Ural-9593 vehicles with gross weights up to 44 tonnes has started on the main conveyor, within the framework of serial production.
The factory has presented a fundamentally new cabover truck from the Ural S35510 road family to its partners at the annual dealer conference in Sochi. The launch of the production of the model is planned for spring 2021.
