Autostat.- The electric car market in Russia has amounted to 687 units in 2020, indicating a 95% year-on-year increase, up from 353 units in 2019.
Nissan Leaf has occupied the first place in the ranking with 144 units sold each (+10%). Audi E-Tron, since June in the market, became second in the ranking with 134 units sold. The leaders are followed by Tesla Model 3 with 110 units sold.
In addition, 91 Porsche Taycan, 81 Tesla Model X, 72 Jaguar I-Pace, 25 Tesla Model S, 7 Hyundai Ioniq, 5 Hyundai Kona, 5 Tesla Model Y, 3 JAC iEV7S, 3 Mercedes-Benz EQC, 3 Peugeot Ion, 3 Renault Twizy and 1 Chevrolet Bolt were purchased in Russia in 2020.
300 new electric cars have been sold in Moscow and the surrounding region in 2020. The capital is followed by St Petersburg with 69 units and Krasnodar with 36 units. Primorsky Territory with 31 units and Sverdlovsk Region with 21 units has completed the top 5 regions of the electric car market. In addition, more than 10 electric vehicles were purchased in 5 more subjects of the Russian Federation: Novosibirsk, Perm, Irkutsk, Tyumen and Chelyabinsk regions.
