RusAutoNewsCom.- As reported by the company press office, Kamaz and ZF have signed an innovative agreement, proposing cooperation in the supply of the latest intelligent solutions for the creation of interconnected trucks and trailers within the framework of the “Connected Road Train” project. In addition, ZF has signed a long-term contract on the supply of its Wabco ABS system, to equip 4800 Nefaz trailers in 2022.
ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems, formed through the acquisition of Wabco, will support Kamaz’s cutting-edge Connected Road Train project with its industry-leading set of Wabco ITP – Integrated Trailer Solutions. Approximately 1400 high-performance semi-trailers will be equipped with EBS Wabco and ITP systems by the end of 2021.
Ten state-of-the-art trucks and Nefaz semi-trailers, equipped with advanced Wabco solutions, including Opti level TM, OptilLink TM, Opti tire TM, Tail guard TM, Trailer guard TM and TX Trailer pulse TM, will feature in the initial stage of the project. These smart trailers will travel all through Russia to promote the modern technologies offered by the new combinations of Kamaz trucks and trailers and offer assistance in the integration of the products into Russian fleets.
The Wabco Smart Trailer Programme offers a series of innovative functions of the trailer, which increase the operational effectiveness, safety, driver comfort and fuel efficiency of the vehicle. This flexible solution gives the fleets the ability to customise each trailer with safety and efficiency features tailored to their specific needs, leading to improvement in terms of cost-effectiveness, environmentally-friendliness and safety.
