AVTOVAZ has announced the launch of five new automobiles

RBK.- Avtovaz plans to launch five new automobiles within the next four years. The relevant statement has been made by the current chairman of Avtovaz Nicolas Maure, via a video message in honour of the 55th anniversary of the company. As told by the chairman, the next generation of Niva will become one of the new models. Maure has also promised the debut of a new B-segment line.

“There are four important years ahead of us, within which we have plans to launch five new Lada automobiles, as well as new Renault models. The Lada debutants will be the new generation of Niva, and a completely new B-segment line” – Maure said.

With regards to Niva, it will be necessary to wait until 2024 for the new models to be released. Meanwhile, the design of the new vehicles will have nothing in common with the concept car 4×4 Vision, which was presented at the Moscow Motor Show in 2018. The engine range will also be unified with the other models of Renault and Dacia. The base engine will most likely be a 1.6 litres naturally aspirated 114 hp motor.

A new 1.3 litres turbo engine, which was developed by Renault in cooperation with Daimler Group, is likely to be the main power unit of the vehicle. The turbo engine has already been installed in the second generation of Russian Duster and the Arkana crossover.

The other newcomers out of the aforementioned 5 models will probably be the new C-class crossover and the re-designed Vesta, which will be released in 2022. It’s not known exactly what Maure meant by the definition of a new B-class line, on the other hand. He might well have in mind the new generation of Granta.

Logan and Sandero will be the other Renault debutants in the Russian market. The exteriors of the sedan and hatchback have recently been patented by the company, at the Federal Institute of Industrial Property.
