RNS.- The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has published the new photos of Aurus Komendant SUV at its official Facebook page.
Aurus, the joint venture of NAMI and Sollers, has certified several models of the company in Russia and operates in Europe under certification. Aurus automobiles have been presented in Moscow in August 2018 and in Geneva in March 2019. There are plans to put the model on the market in 2019, with the expectation of a first year sales figure of 50-70 units. A number of vehicles are currently at the car park of the Federal Security Guard Service.
‘The best Russian engineers and designers have worked on the creation of the model to provide the future passengers of Aurus Komendant crossover with the highest level of comfort and safety possible, under any operating conditions” – told the minister Denis Manturov, as quoted by the ministry press office.
The model range of Aurus will be formed of sedans, limousines, SUVs and minibuses. The development of completely electric models and a budget SUV is also possible on the platform of the project.
The vehicles of the project will be assembled at the facilities of NAMI, which has an annual car production capacity of 200-220 vehicles. If the orders exceed 1500 units, the assembly of Aurus may be organised at the facilities of Sollers in Tatarstan or Ulyanovsk region.
