The first Mercedes-Benz Actros Euro 6 has rolled off the conveyor of the Daimler Kamaz Rus factory

RusAutoNewsCom.- As reported by the company press office, Daimler Kamaz Rus has presented the premier show of the Euro 6 standard Mercedes-Benz Actros at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
The first Actros 1845 LS Euro 6 has rolled off the conveyor of the Mercedes-Benz truck assembly plant in Naberezhnye Chelny on 11 July 2020. The Russian-made vehicle fulfils the current localisation requirements.
“Environmental care and a purposeful transition to more environmentally friendly cars are the global priorities for Daimler Truck AG. The affiliates of the company implement such concepts all over the world and support initiatives for the protection of the ecological system” – commented Andreas Deuschle, the general director of Daimler Kamaz Rus, the official manufacturer and distributor of Mercedes-Benz trucks in Russia.
The cabin of the truck has been manufactured at Daimler Kamaz Rus factory, which produces cabin carcasses for Mercedes-Benz and Kamaz trucks, using various local components.
“The production of the aforementioned model will allow the Russian international transporters to use home-made long-haul trucks for their journeys abroad, avoiding the payment of excessive fees, due to the usage of vehicles with Euro-5 environmental standards and below. Mercedes-Benz Actros is currently going through a certification process, which will be completed in August. The serial production is planned for November” – as told by the Russian Minister of Industry and Commerce Denis Manturov.
