Electric crossover brand TOGG has been patented in Russia

Motor.ru.- The first Turkish electric car may appear in Russia, since the electric crossover brand TOGG has been patented in the country. So far, only the interior pictures of the new vehicle have been found in the Rospatent database, however, the images indicate the possible appearance of the model in the Russian Federation. The Turks had previously promised to launch an electric car in Europe in 2022.

When the electric vehicle was presented in 2019, it was tipped to compete with the Tesla Model X. The automobile with a 2.8m wheelbase has been put on the market in two versions: with a 200 hp electric engine on the rear axle or with two engines (one on each axle), which will add up to 400 hp. According to manufacturer data, the single-engine vehicle reaches 100 km/h speed in 7.6 seconds from start and the double-engine one in 4.8 seconds. This result is equivalent to the performance of Model X.

Depending on the battery volume, TOGG electric crossover will travel between 300-500 km on one charge and the energy will be re-charged by 80% in 30 minutes. The vehicle is also promised to be equipped with a third level autopilot (as in Tesla electric vehicles) and cameras instead of exterior mirrors (the images will be displayed on screens located at the front pillars).

The Turks are currently completing the construction of the factory where the TOGG production will take place. According to plans, the electric crossover will appear on the conveyor in 2021, to be released to the European market in 2022. Russia will also be one of the export destinations for the model.
