Vedomosti.- Autocomponent Group has announced resumption of component supplies to Avtovaz in full scale, as stated by the company. In addition, an agreement has been reached on further cooperation between the two companies.Â
As reported by Avtovaz previously, the company was forced to suspend production at all the assembly lines of its plants in Togliatti and Izhevsk. Simply, Avtovaz has explained the situation as another unlawful violation of obligations under the supply agreement and the disruption of the supply of necessary components by Autocomponent plant from Nizhny Novgorod. The aforementioned plant supplies Avtovaz with a wide range of plastic parts, as told by the company spokesman without disclosing the details.Â
Avtovaz has warned that the compensation of losses may be demanded from the supplier, however, the amount has not been revealed by the company. Avtovaz had to suspend automobile production at its plants in Togliatti and Izhevsk for a few times previously, due to lack of components. The suspensions happened as a result of the suppliers’ failure to cope with the demand during the recovery periods after market shrinkages.
